As a Solutions Architect at AWS, my role is to capture and convey best practices and provide prescriptive guidance around application and systems design on the Amazon platforms and technologies, via direct customer/partner interaction, development of technical content, events/evangelism/training, and operational event support. I also help drive the evolution of the Amazon platforms and technologies by providing direct input and feedback from the field to the engineering teams developing these offerings. Previously, I worked as a Cloud Advisor, analyzing my client's business and IT challenges and leverage the cloud as an enabler of innovation, bringing break though thinking to engagement teams, helping clients optimize their IT environments through the use of cloud solutions to drive innovation. Earlier on, as a Technical Architect with a focus on Telecommunications and Energy & Utilities sectors, I provided expert, objective architectural advice on business and technical solution strategies to address key business issues. I was responsible for the long-term technical success of my clients, and as such maintained effective long-term relationships at the senior level with the client's leaders and key technical decision-makers and influencers. My current and past responsibilities are about establishing and maintaining strategic vision, driving and influencing innovation, and delivering integrated and persuasive architectural thought leadership. My end-to-end project lifecycle experience (sales, inception, design, implementation, and post-sales support) combined with acute capabilities and insights in technology and business enable me to analyse and address my clients’ needs from various perspectives. In order to fulfill those needs, I drive, in close collaboration with the technical leaders at my clients’, the creation and execution of strategies promoting growth and innovation.
